I just want to say that today was a little different! We went to three toll booths...and we wanted to bless the toll attendants with a few gifts to say "thank you" for their service and then pay for drivers toll as they went through. Now you must know, I am not a huge fan of the tollway. That's because it never goes well with me! It's never the attendants, they are great, it's the machines! They never work for me. I throw money in...and wait while cars stack up behind me instantly making me feel pressured to hurry and get out of their way...meanwhile I am still waiting, green, green...turn green....I finally throw in more money...and wait...the pressure mounts, still no green...I decide to make a run for it, I mean what else can I do, I'm out of money and no one is coming to help me! BUT once I do this and the little bell starts ringing, this adds more pressure. It is not in my make-up to break rules..and then get caught. Does this mean a ticket? Yes it does. Well OK.
Then there are the times I'm driving along and the toll booth sneaks up on me out of nowhere and I suddenly realize I'm in the toll tag lane and must cross over 4 lanes of traffic to get to the little man that can give me change, so that he can throw my quarters in for me. Can't they give the little man a button to push so he doesn't have to throw quarters in all day?
Wow, How did I get off on that. Back to our mission for the day...to bless the toll attendants and the drivers. We blessed the first attendant, and we were successful, but then the next two did not want their gifts. This is the first time we have been turned down when saying "thank you" to someone. I mean we tried everything to get them to take their gifts to no avail. OK...so on to the next part of the mission, to pay the drivers toll. We had success for a few drivers then we were asked to leave. So we payed toll until we were basically escorted out of the lanes. We really did have a great time. I would love to hear from some of you guys that we got to bless. There was one woman that was so cute, she gave her attendant her dollar, then he gave it back to her, so then she drove a few feet to me and tried to hand me her dollar. I know we really confused her!!! So I told her again that we wanted to pay her toll and she finally realized what was going on.
Well, that was day 3...how fast the days are going by.
Day 4 is going to be huge, you do not want to miss it. Check back tomorrow to see what the 4 Christmas wishes are that we are going to grant!
Blessings to you and remember to make your mission a reality!
