Today we visited some friends of ours; Mike Myers and the gang at Beautiful Feet. Beautiful Feet Ministries is on Hattie St. near downtown Fort worth, and they serve the needy and homeless. They serve breakfast and lunch, preach the gospel, provide medical and dental clinics, supply clothing to people who are in need and much more. Mike is the founder and director and if I where to describe Mike to you, I would describe him as a man after God's own heart. He is also a man filled with the Joy of the Lord, and it shows evrywhere he goes. He is one fun guy!
We totally surprised him and his gang by rushing in with "Movie Night" baskets, and then we sang them a song of thanks! They are such a deserving group of people!!! What they do is not easy; some of the issues that come up from day to day are stressful, yet there they are every day, being Jesus!
To Mike and evryone down at Beautiful Feet,
You guys are amazing! Thank you so much for the love you give. The gifts we gave weren't much, but we hope you enjoy them. You are true servants of Christ, and I know that someday you will hear, "Well done, good and faithful servants!"
Johnny, thank you so much for helping me keep the surprise, I enjoyed getting to talk with you to arrange this.
Day 6 is tomorrow and we are going to be at the Skate Queen in Weatherford! It's been a long time since I've put on a pair of skates, but I can't wait. I hope they play some disco...I love Disco! Come out and skate with us, we would love to meet you!
