Wow, it was cold today in Downtown Fort Worth!!! Cold, damp and drizzly, but we still had a blast! We decided to picket positively, not that all picketing is not positive, some of it is important. But when people think of picketing, they usually think of two opposing sides trying to prove that they are the ones who are right. Well, today we wanted to have the two opposing sides not opposing, but loving each other. So we decided our two sides would be the older generation and the younger generation. We believe that both are vital, and if one is missing, there is just no balance. The younger generation needs the wisdom, knowledge and guidance of the older generation, and the older generation needs the fresh ideas, boldness and change that the younger ones can bring.
So our picketers had the younger side telling the older side how awesome they are, and then the younger ones telling the older ones how awesome they are. It was so funny to see the strange looks from people passing as we yelled terms of endearment at each other...He-he-He! Then others would smile and wave to us, happy to see anything different that would break up the monotony of a normal day.
