9 Bus Drivers

Today we went to a very special place...West Fort Worth Dialysis Center. You see, nine bus drivers were on our list of people to bless today and after talking with a very special friend of ours, Pat... we decided to go somewhere were the Mits Bus Drivers drop off. We wanted to surprise a few of them with a gift and a thank you for all they do. Mits Drivers drive the disabled, and they do it by appointment. It's quite different from a regular bus. According to Pat, they have a pretty hard job. Not all of the people they pick up are friendly, but the drivers take it all in stride and remain patient. They also can have very long days because they can't go home until all of their riders are taken home, no matter what time that may be.
So we asked Pat where we could catch a few of these drivers at the same time, she suggested a place like a dialysis center. She rides Mits and knows that quite a few people are dropped off there. We called and talked with Jonelle at the Dialysis Center and she said they would be glad to have us.
Once we arrived... we hid over on the side of the building until each one of the Mits drivers had taken their rider into the the building, and then once they where getting back on their bus...BAM!...we sprung out and surprised them. It's funny, I think they were all in shock. They really did not know what to say. They were definitely surprised!! I really think they thought we wanted something from them... like there was a catch to this gift or something along those lines, but once the end of our "Thank You" spill came and they realized we were just saying "Thank You", they began to smile and act like...wow, this is cool!
We finished the day by going to some regular buses in Fort Worth and surprising them at the Amtrak station. Still the same...all speechless. It was funny, they just didn't know what to say, but...they all had smiles on their faces!
You guys that drive the buses..we just want to say thank you! You have a special job, hauling people around all day. We believe that's precious cargo. Thanks for all you do from Mission Reality!

God Bless!
Theresa
